Japanese inspired woodland garden stops people in their tracks to enjoy a slice of nature in this small frontyard.
The Japanese pagoda lantern became a theoretical focal point with the addition of irregular stepping planks, even inviting one to step over the existing water feature. Soaker hoses lay beneath the mulch for irrigation.
Before. A multitude of boulders and river rock, and only 2 or 3 plants, created an unbalanced situation.
Before. A large Silver Maple in the parkway is a constant shade and root challenge for the garden.
